UK retail sales declined substantially in September, putting pressure on the British pound. At the same time, previous figures ​​were revised for the better, which slightly alleviated the negative effect of this report. Against the background of a decrease in retail sales, a particular concern is caused by a decrease in core retail sales index on an annualized basis, which has been slowing down for the third cosecutive month. It may increase concerns about inflation.
