State of the market: investors return to negative sentiment and the US currency

Friday trades opened with the growth of pessimistic sentiment in the market  caused by a decrease in stock indices in the Asia-Pacific region. The reasons for the resumption of negative sentiment were ambiguous reports on the profitability of international companies. Against the background of the resumption of negative sentiment, commodity currencies were under pressure, and the American currency acted as an asset.

The US dollar index has been trading at the opening level at the start of the day, above the significant support at 96.50, which maintains the uptrend and opens the way to resistance levels: 96.80 and 97.00.
