State of the market: the American dollar remains under pressure

At the start of the day, the market remains under the influence of published news, mainly from the Asia-Pacific region. Thus, at the beginning of the day, the results of the RBNZ meeting were published, which retained its monetary policy unchanged, thereby confirming the safety of the soft monetary policy, and putting pressure on the New Zealand dollar.

Also at the beginning of the day, optimistic data on Chinese inflation came out, which led to an increase in optimism in the stock markets of the Asia-Pacific region. Positive data on China also supported the Australian dollar. On the other hand, the tension persists around the US and China trade confrontation. Especially after the opponents exchanged threats, which caused the escalation of the conflict.

The dollar index has been trading at the opening day since the beginning of the day, limited to the support level of 95.00, keeping the potential for decline, despite attempts of yesterday’s growth.
