The main market drivers

The pressure on the US dollar increased with the opening of trading on European trading exchanges. At the same time, the weakening of the American dollar was traced across the market. First, the American dollar weakened against commodity currencies, and after that against safe assets. The second was caused by the resumption of negative sentiment in the stock markets.

Such ambiguous market sentiment was caused by uncertainty over Brexit, which escalated amid reports that British Prime Minister T. May turned to German Chancellor Angela Merkel for help. As a result, the US currency continues to be under the pressure, which was intensified by the expectation of tomorrow’s ECB meeting  and the publication of the FOMC protocol.
