ALREADY IN AN HOUR: Inflation data in the USA!

At 14:30 (Kiev), the US Department of Commerce will publish a report on inflation in February.
Market analysts forecast that in February consumer prices in the US will grow by 0.2%, which will be lower compared to growth of 0.5% in January. At the same time, according to forecasts, the basic inflation will slow down to 0.2% compared with 0.3% in January.
According to forecasts, the annual inflation rate will be 1.8%, unchanged from the previous month. The FED sees core inflation as a more accurate indicator of long-term inflationary pressures, as it does not take into account food and energy prices. The Сentral bank, as a rule, seeks to keep core inflation at 2% or lower.
Increasing inflation can be a catalyst for accelerating for the FED’s interest rate increase compared to previous forecasts.
Data published on Friday showed that in February the growth rate of workplaces in the US was accelerated, having recorded the greatest value for more than a year and a half. However, the slowdown in the growth rate of wages indicated a restrained acceleration of inflation.
This can dispel forecasts that the FED will have to accelerate the tempo of toughening monetary policy in comparison with previous forecasts. (ru.investing.com)
