State of the market: Monday opened with a correction against Friday

Trading at the start of the week shows a moderate dynamics of the US currency, aimed at correction against Friday’s growth. This is due to the technical correction against Friday and low activity. Low activity at the beginning of the week intensified with a weekend in Japan, thus creating some uncertainty about the mood in the market.

Stock indices of the Asia-Pacific region are trading below zero at the start of the day, thanks to a significant decrease in the Chinese stock indexes, that were under pressure of the risks of aggravation of the US and China trade confrontation. The reason for this was the evidence that China can abandon the negotiations previously proposed by the US.

The US dollar index is trading under the level of 95.00, after Friday’s significant growth. As a result, the US dollar index significantly slowed the downward dynamics, but remains in a downward trend.
