State of the market: the dollar is under pressure of correction

The US currency remains under pressure after the publication of weak data on the sale of real estate in the secondary market of the United States. In addition to weak statistics, the pressure on the dollar is exerted by a technical correction after growth and a slowdown in the uptrend on the American dollar. Separately, it is worth noting the uncertainty surrounding the US government partial shutdown, which aggravates the political situation. There is also some uncertainty in the market around the US-Chinese trade war, which, after a brief respite, becomes the main market driver.

The US dollar index from the start of trading on Wednesday shows a moderate decline, limited to the trading range on Tuesday from 96.50 to 96.20. Flat formation may indicate correction attempts that are limited to support levels: 96.20 and 96.00.
