After the festive Friday, the market has become bored due to the volatility and the first event of today that can stir up the market will be data on the index of business activity in the manufacturing sector (PMI) of the United States from ISM. The data will be published today, at 17:00 (Kiyv).
Today is a day off becouse of celebration of Easter in the UK, Switzerland, Canada and Australia.
In focus on this week will also be development of trade relations between the US and China.
As for the data (PMI) of the United States from ISM, let’s get acquainted with the opinion of the leading analyst of Ester A. Sivtsov:
“The index of production activity of the Institute of Supply Management (ISM) reflects the production activity for the previous month. These data are considered a very important and reliable economic indicator.”
“According to the forecast, in March the indicator will grow to the level of 62.1, against the previous value at the level of 60.8. In case of data release within the forecast, the US dollar will receive some support. If the actual indicator deviates from the forecast by 10%, one should expect the US dollar to move against the basket of currencies within 30-40 points.”
