Most market analysts predict that for the eighth consecutive time the central bank of New Zealand will keep the interest rate at the current record low level of 1.75%.
The current manager of the Reserve Bank of New Zealand, Grant Spencer will hold a press conference. The former vice-chairman and chief economist of the Reserve Bank of New Zealand, Adrian Orr, will assume the post of head of the central bank of New Zealand on March 27.
The low level of inflation kept the Reserve Bank of New Zealand from raising the interest rate despite stable economic growth and improvement of the situation in the labor market.
