According to the consensus forecast, workplaces are expected to be increased by 180 thousand after an increase of 148 thousand in December. According to experts’ forecasts, the unemployment rate will remain stable at 4.1%. The focus will be on the average hourly wage in the US. Judging by the forecasts, it will increase by 0.3% after the value of 0.3% a month earlier.
In addition, investors will be interested in the US consumer confidence index, the report from ADP on the number of employees in the non-agricultural sector of the US, the report on the volume of unfinished sales in the US real estate market, PMI in the manufacturing sector from the Institute for Supply Management (ISM), the number initial applications for unemployment benefits in the US, as well as reports on construction costs, the total sales of cars and the volume of industrial orders in the US.
