Market focus

Wednesday, 09.01.2019, is full of speeches by representatives of central banks. In the first half of the day, market attention will be focused on statistics on Germany’s trade balance, inflation in Switzerland and employment in the eurozone, which will cause noticeable fluctuations in the euro.

In the afternoon, market attention will shift to the Bank of Canada meeting results,  interest rates decision and the accompanying statement. Despite the fact that the Bank of Canada does not expect changes in monetary policy, the publication of these statistics will cause an increase a volatility in Canadian dollar. The publication of the FOMC protocol will close the day and can also cause an increase in volatility in the American dollar.
