FOCUS OF THE WEEK!
Dear traders,
The week promises to be saturated with statistics on employment, GDP and indicators of consumer inflation.
On Monday, the beginning of the week will be very restrained, no significant planned data is expected on this day. Starting on Tuesday, the economic calendar will be full of statistics, among which the UK employment data deserves special attention. They are expected to receive positive statistics after previously published weak data. Also, there will be data on the consumer price index in the United States, expectations for which remain restrained.
On Wednesday, the saturation of the economic calendar will continue. Industrial production in China, German GDP, inflation in the UK and Eurozone GDP are worth highlighting from the published data. Thanks to what the day promises to be very volatile. On Thursday, the day is full of US data. In the morning, data on employment in Australia and retail sales in the UK will be published. The second half of the day is completely devoted to statistics on the USA: retail sales and industrial production. On Friday, the saturation of the economic calendar will decline. And from the published data, it is worth highlighting the trade balance of the eurozone and data on construction in the United States.
From the fundamental risk factors, trade relations between the USA and China will continue to occupy the main place. Moreover, the market will expect more exacerbation of tension than its easing. It is also worth noting such risk factors as the tough Brexit and the pressure on the US Federal Reserve, news on which the market can be extremely sensitive.
The corporate reporting calendar next week is noticeably poorer due to the end of the corporate reporting period. (Anton Hanzenko)
