FOCUS OF THE WEEK!
Dear traders,
The upcoming week will open the start for a meeting of the world’s major central banks, which will ensure a high degree of volatility in the market.
At the beginning of the week one should not expect significant statistics. Starting on Tuesday, the economic calendar will begin to increase gradually the importance of published data. So, on Tuesday, the speech of the RBA Governor will take place, from which we can expect significant statements.
On Wednesday, the day is full of data on business activity in the manufacturing sector (PMI): Germany, the eurozone and the United States. Also this day the data on the trade balance of New Zealand and oil reserves in the United States are worth highlighting.
On Thursday, the main event of the day will be the publication of the ECB meeting results, from which the market will expect hints at the revision of the inflation targets in the eurozone. Also on Thursday, there are data on durable goods orders in the United States.
On Friday, the US GDP data will close the week, on which US dollar sentiment will depend largely, which can be perceived particularly acutely before the US Federal Reserve meeting.
Among the fundamental factors, the US Federal Reserve’s rhetoric about monetary policy and uncertainty about the US-Chinese trade negotiations should be highlighted.
The corporate reporting calendar for the week will remain rich with reports. Weekly reports are expected from such large companies, Monday: Coca-Cola (KO), Boeing (BA), Caterpillar (CAT), Facebook (FB), 3M (MMM), Alphabet A (GOOGL), Amazon.com (AMZN), Intel (INTC).
