FOCUS OF THE WEEK!
Dear traders,
The upcoming work week will be very modest for meaningful statistics and will in fact be entirely devoted to data on inflation and retail sales.
The publication of significant statistics should be expected from Tuesday, on this day there will be an employment data in the UK and business activity in Germany and the eurozone. Data for the UK and the EU will have a very restrained influence on national currencies.
On Wednesday, the economic calendar will reach a weekly peak in data saturation. At the beginning of the day, industrial production in China will be released. In the European session, market attention will be focused on preliminary data on the GDP of Germany and the eurozone. And in the US session, there are data on retail sales in the US and the consumer price index in Canada. The data on thr US oil reserves will close the day. Thanks to the published statistics, the trading on Wednesday is expected to be very volatile.
On Thursday, the saturation of the economic calendar will decline. At the beginning of the day, it is worth highlighting employment data in Australia, which is expected to have very negative data. In the European session will publish insignificant data on the EU trade balance. The US trading session is full of data on the real estate market in the US, from which they expect restrained positive data.
On Friday, all market attention will be focused on inflation data in the Eurozone, around which Friday trading will take place. Despite the significance, expectations from an inflation data in the euro area remain restrained.
The period of corporate reporting gradually exhausted itself. The week is to highlight the reports: Cisco Wednesday (CSCO), Thursday Walmart (WMT).
Fundamental risks after a lull again came to the fore thanks to the US-China trade opposition. The implementation of sanctions on both sides and the consequences of the negotiations will be very sharply recouped by the market. (Anton Hanzenko)
