Expectations for the upcoming week
The last trading week of 2018 will be almost empty on economic statistics, especially its first half. This is due to the holidays on the occasion of the celebration of the Catholic Christmas and the upcoming New Year. But despite this, the week is notable for some significant events.
Some activity will return to the market starting from Wednesday, and work on the main stock exchanges as well.
- So, on Wednesday data on business activity in the manufacturing sector (PMI) of China, Germany and the UK is expected to be published.
On Thursday you should pay attention to data on business activity in the UK and the USA.
On Friday, the day will be full of statistics, which will significantly increase activity, especially in the European and American sessions. Investor attention will be focused on inflation data in the euro area and employment in the United States.
