The US dollar is losing ground during the American session. Consumer confidence is declining

The US dollar, at the beginning of the American session, lost some of the previously earned positions, which was caused by technical factors and partial fixation of profit on long positions of the US dollar. Also, some pressure at the moment is provided by a decrease in consumer optimism in the US.

• According to published data, consumer confidence index CB in March fell to the level of 127.7, against the previous value at 130.0.

The US dollar index keeps the downtrend in the short term, having receded from the current high of 89.25.
