Analysis of the American Trading Session

During the American session on Monday, April 2, 2018, the US dollar strengthened its positions against most of the major currencies of the market. The main support for the US currency was provided by the growth in the profitability of the US government bonds, as well as the decline in US stock exchanges.

Major US stock indices fell by more than 2% (Dow -1.90%, S & P 500 -2.23%, Nasdaq -2.74%). The deterrent of the more significant US dollar growth was the decline in the US manufacturing sector from the ISM. For more details, see “The US Dollar Intercepts the Initiative”
