• Eurozone Business Activity Index (Aug), fact 53.4, forecast 53.0.

According to preliminary data, business activity in the manufacturing sector (PMI) of the eurozone accelerated in August, indicating the possibility of growth of this indicator for the month. Despite positive expectations, the general dynamics of business activity in the eurozone remains near two-year lows.

The euro accelerated growth against its main competitors against the backdrop of positive expectations for the resumption of business activity in the eurozone, but was limited by existing dynamics. The EUR/USD pair updated the high at the level of 1.1110, but was limited by the existing lateral dynamics of the current week from 1.1110-20 to 1.1080-70.
