EUR/USD today: the dollar moved to correction

With the opening of Tuesday trading, the pair EUR / USD remains in an upward trend, receiving support from the correction of the American dollar and justifying the expectations for the pair from the lower border of the channel. On the other hand, the further growth of the pair also remains limited.

Events for today:

• 17:00 – JOLTS job openings  (June) in the US.
• 23:30 – weekly stocks of crude oil according to the American Petroleum Institute (API).

The market’s attention remains chained to the US – China trade relations and the risks that affect the stock markets. Stock indexes in Europe, in turn, are traded with strengthening on risk reduction, which also puts pressure on the American dollar.

The pair EUR / USD, despite attempts at correction, is limited by a downtrend and resistance levels: 1.1600 and 1.1640. Consider the transaction to buy is at fixing above 1.1600 or after a repetition of the rebound from the support level 1.1550-40. While the pair remains in a downtrend, limited to a low-key correction.
