The US Department of Labor will publish an October report on employment outside the agricultural sector at 15:30.
- The main attention in this report will be attracted not even by the indicators of employment, but by the growth of salaries. According to the consensus forecast, workplaces are expected to increase by 198 thousand after an increase of 261 thousand in September. It is also projected that the unemployment rate in the US will remain at 4.1%.
- The focus will be on the average hourly wage in the US. Judging by the forecasts, it will increase by 0.3% after zero growth a month earlier. Experts predict that, on an annualized basis, wage growth will be 2.7%, which will be higher than the October growth of 2.4%, which has become minimal over the past year and a half.
The growth of wages can be the first signal of accelerating inflation, which will be an argument in favor of raising the interest rate in the coming months.
The last meeting of the Fed this year will be held on December 12-13. Traders consider the probability of an interest rate increase as a result of a FOMC meeting in December at 100%. However, market players doubt the implementation of the plans of the US central bank to raise the interest rate next year due to fears of a low inflation.
