Market focus

Friday, August 17, 2018, can actually be called the day of publication of reports on inflation, thanks to the release of  CPI data  in the eurozone and Canada. At the beginning of the day, the volatility of the Australian dollar may be triggered by the speech of the head of the RBA, Lowie. But the main growth of activity in the market should be expected by the middle of the day on  inflation data in the euro area. Expectations for this report remain restrainedly negative, which may limit the purchase of the euro, especially in light of the continued risks around the Turkish lira.

In the second half of the day there will be an inflation report in Canada, from which no significant changes are expected either. The mere fact of the release of this report may cause fluctuations of the rate on the correction of positions.
