Market focus

On Tuesday, August 27, the saturation of the economic calendar will increase with significant statistics. In the morning, market attention will be focused on European data: German GDP and UK loans. Of particular note is the data on German GDP for the second quarter, from which they expect slowdown in growth of the German economy.

In the afternoon, market attention will shift to data on consumer confidence in the US and US oil inventories from API. In the context of the aggravation of the trade war, the US statistics will be perceived especially sharply by the market. Thus, data on a slowdown in consumer confidence in the United States may put an additional pressure on the American dollar amid the economic uncertainty of the US Federal Reserve.
