On Thursday, 31.01.2019, the economic calendar will be full of statistics. In the morning, market attention will be focused on data on business activity in China and employment in Germany. At the same time, after cuting forecasts for growth in China, a decline in business activity (PMI) may be the main driver of market sentiment.

In the middle of the day, preliminary data on eurozone GDP will be released, from which they expect very weak statistics. Against the background of these expectations, correction of positions on the euro is not excluded.

The American session is also full of statistics and speeches. Investors will focus on the US personal spending and Canada’s GDP data. Expectations for spending in the United States remain very positive, indicating that consumer price inflation has continued. Expectations about the growth of the Canadian economy also slowed down on the general slowdown of the global economy.
