Market focus

On Thursday, 20.12.2018, the economic calendar will be full of news. At the start of the day, there will be an employment data in Australia and  the results of the Bank of Japan meeting will be published, after which an accompanying press conference will take place. The Japanese Central Bank does not expect changes in monetary policy, but changes in forecasts in the Japanese economy and weak expectations for employment in Australia may set the tone for the market at the beginning of the day.

The European session on this day will be fully devoted to data on the UK: retail sales and the results of the Bank of England meeting. At the same time, it is  not expected any changes in monetary policy of the Central Bank of Great Britain. Thursday’s trading will close with very modest US statistics, which will have a moderate impact on the market.
