FOCUS OF THE DAY: UK GDP!

The UK GDP and data on industrial production and the UK trade balance will be published today at 11:30 Kyiv time.
Expectations concerning the UK GDP growth rate remain very negative. It is expected to slow down by 0.2%, that is a very negative factor for the British pound. The publication of the UK trade balance is also expected, for which expectations are also not comforting. Despite the fact that the UK trade balance deficit has slowed growth, it remains very significant and is likely to increase again. At the same time, expectations concerning production in the manufacturing industry remain positive.
This report will be perceived by the market with an eye to the Brexit negotiations which according to some sources have accelerated markedly that may give rise to speculation on the pound. (Anton Hanzenko)
