FOCUS OF THE WEEK!
Dear traders,
The first week of February will be rich with significant statistics, despite the week-long weekend in China due to the celebration of the Chinese New Year.
The week will start quite calmly and with a small amount of news, among which the data on business activity in the UK is worth highlighting. On Tuesday, market attention will be focused on the Reserve Bank of Australia meeting results and data on business activity in the UK and the USA. On Wednesday, the focus will be on the US data: retail sales, GDP, and building permits. On Thursday, the main event of the day will be the publication of the Bank of England meeting results, from which they do not expect changes in monetary policy. On Friday, data for Japan and Canada will close the week.
The corporate reporting calendar will be full of reports, thanks to the publication of reports of corporate giants. This week it is worth focusing on the reports of the following companies: Alphabet (GOOGL), Walt Disney (DIS), General Motors (GM).
Fundamental factors will actually remain the same. The main attention of the market will be focused on the US – China trade negotiations, from which there is no information for a long time. Also, investors continue to monitor the situation with Brexit, which, despite the impasse, continues to receive development. (Anton Hanzenko)
