FOCUS OF THE WEEK!

The start of September promises to be very productive, despite the fact that on Monday the economic calendar is completely devoted to data on business activity, and in the US and Canada it’s a day off. Starting from Tuesday, liquidity will fully return to the market. On this day, the attention of investors will be focused on the results of the Reserve Bank of Australia meeting. On Wednesday, the market will focus on the GDP of Australia and the decision on interest rates in Canada. However, both the RBA and the Bank of Canada do not expect high-profile statements. On Thursday, the market will begin to prepare for Friday’s employment report in the US. Data on the United States can make adjustments to this process. On Friday, the main event of the day and of the week will be the publication of the US employment report, which will eventually set the tone for the market before the September Fed meeting.
The reporting calendar remains empty, the main driver of the stock markets will be general sentiment and the possibility of risks.
Of the unplanned news, there should be an exacerbation of the US and China trade confrontation, which remains the main source of negative sentiment, and after Trump announced intentions to introduce new duties, the negative sentiment is exacerbated.
