FOCUS OF THE WEEK!
Dear traders,
The upcoming week promises to reduce a little the level of significance of news, but the attention of the market for a week will be focused to data on inflation, employment and sales. So, at the beginning of the week, the market will focus on retail sales in the US and China’s GDP, which can eventually set the mood for the whole week, especially if the trade relations between these countries again worsen.
On Tuesday and Wednesday, inflation data will be released in New Zealand, the UK and the euro area. Also employment data in the UK will be published, and there will be two speeches by the head of the Federal Reserve Powell. By the end of the week there will be employment data in Australia and inflation in Canada, but volatility throughout the week promises to be high.
The corporate reporting calendar for the upcoming week is full because of the start of the reporting period. Therefore, there is no point in highlighting the shares. With the launch of corporate reporting, the impact of stock indices on the markets will intensify.
Also in the upcoming week, the market will continue to assess the possibility of two Fed rate increases this year. And don’t forget about the persistence of risks around the trade confrontation between the US and China. (Anton Hanzenko)
