Expectations for the upcoming week
This week will not be full due to the celebration of Thanksgiving Day in the USA. Therefore, at the end of the week, namely on Thursday and Friday it is expected a decrease in activity in the afternoon.
Despite it, the week promises to be rich in statistics, which will have a significant impact on the market. Starting on Tuesday, market attention will be focused on the Reserve Bank of Australia meeting results, the Bank of England inflation report and data on building permits issued in the United States. Of particular note is the UK data, which can be perceived by the market especially sharply against the background of political risks and the Brexit talks.
On Wednesday, the day will be saturated with US data due to part-time work in the USA. Against the background of a saturated calendar and a short week, we can expect an increase in volatility in the market, especially in the afternoon.
On Thursday, the ECB meeting minutes will be published, from which no significant changes in monetary policy are expected. On Friday, market attention will be focused on data on Germany’s GDP and inflation in Canada, which will cause an increase in volatility in the euro and the Canadian dollar. (Anton Hanzenko)
