Expectations for the upcoming week
The first week of February will be full of significant statistics, such as the RBA meeting results, the US GDP data and the Bank of England meeting results are expected in advance. Also, the week is full of data on business activity in key countries. With the resumption of the work of the US government, the publication of unplanned statistics is possible.
Chinese New Year will be celebrated throughout the week, as a result of which the activity at the Asia-Pacific trading sessions will be reduced. Therefore, in these periods of time we should expect the formation of a “thin market”, which can cause significant and unjustified movements. (Anton Hanzenko)
