EUR/USD today: the euro remains under the pressure
After yesterday’s publication of the ECB meeting results, which caused multidirectional fluctuations of the EUR/USD pair, the lateral dynamics can be traced to the market. The overall strengthening of the US dollar continues to put pressure on the euro, while maintaining its potential for decline.
Events for today:
- 15:30 – preliminary data on the US GDP will be released: GDP (q/q) (Q2) and GDP deflator (q/q) (Q2)
The main event of today is the US GDP data. Expectations regarding which remain ambiguous, which adds uncertainty and restraint to the market.
The EUR/USD pair remains under the pressure from the American dollar, limited to the trading range of Thursday from 1.1170-80 to 1.1120-00. In the face of positive data for the United States, we should expect an update of the low.
