Expectations for the upcoming week
The last working week of June promises to be fill with macroeconomic statistics, especially its second half. So, the beginning of the week promises to be very restrained, volatility can cause publication of data on business activity in Germany and the United States. Also, don’t forget about the US trade confrontation, news about which made the market’s mood at the end of last week.
Starting from Wednesday, the market expects important statistics and at this time the market’s attention will shift from the policy of the Trump administration to economic statistics, namely the speech of the heads of the Central Bank of England and Canada and orders for durable goods in the US.
On Thursday, the main event of the day will be the publication of RBNZ decisions and data on GDP USA, among which the statistics on the USA deserve special attention.
Friday is full of data: employment in Germany, UK GDP, inflation in the eurozone and Canada’s GDP, which will eventually force the market to close the month on very high volatility.
It is also worth noting the fundamental factors that hang above the market. Trade confrontation of the US remains the main fundamental driver of the market. And the fact that Trump’s administration in every possible way restricts China’s investment will continue to affect negatively the stock markets, not to mention that, as part of the trade confrontation, the US is preparing to introduce duties on cars from the eurozone.
