The US Department of Labor will publish a report on employment outside the agricultural sector in May at 15:30 (Kiyv). The main attention in this report will be attracted not even by the indicators of employment, but by the growth of salaries.
According to the consensus forecast, workplaces are expected to increase by 190 thousand after an increase of 164 thousand in April. It is also projected that the unemployment rate in the US will remain at 3.9%, unchanged from April, when it recorded a minimum of 18 years.
However, the investors will be focused on the average hourly wage in the US. Judging by the forecasts, it will increase by 0.3% after growing by 0.1% a month earlier.
On an annualized basis, wage growth, according to forecasts, will be 2.7%, accelerating compared to April, when the growth in wages was 2.6%. (Investing.com)
