Overview of the main drivers: Stock indices and oil

The main European stock indices show mixed dynamics in the course of trading on Monday. The British FTSE 100 lost about -0.18% of its positions in the course of trading, and the given decrease has only insignificant support to the pound, against which the British only keeps its positions against the US dollar. DAX and CAC 40 on average grew by 0.55%, thereby exerting some pressure on the single currency. See the Quotations.

Oil prices remain positive, adding about 1.00% on average to the quotes. This rise in oil prices does not provide adequate support to commodity currencies against the US dollar, as market participants took an acute position with regard to commodity currencies.
