On Monday, December 18, 2017, attention should be focused on preliminary data on the Eurozone consumer price index. The consumer price index (CPI) measures the change in the prices of goods and services from the consumer’s point of view. This is the key way to measure changes in the buying and inflation trends in the Eurozone.

According to the forecast, the Eurozone consumer price index in November will decrease by -0.2%, against the previous value at the level of 0.1%. On an annualized basis, the growth rate will be 1.7%, which exceeds the previous value of 1.5%. In case of data release within the forecast, the euro will receive some support, against which one should expect the strengthening of the single currency within 20-30 points against competitors.
