On Friday, January 26, 2018, attention should be paid to the data on the GDP of the Great Britain. Gross Domestic Product (GDP) is a general indicator of economic activity and is a key indicator of the health of the economy. Quarterly dynamics of percent of GDP shows the growth rate of the economy as a whole.

According to the forecast, preliminary data indicate that GDP growth in the fourth quarter will remain at the level of 0.4%. On an annualized basis, the indicator will slow the growth to the level of 1.5%, which is lower than the previous indicator at 1.7%. The publication of the data within the forecast will put pressure on the pound, so one should expect a decline of 40 points against the basket of currencies.
