THE MAIN EVENTS OF THIS WEEK!
Dear traders,
This week the attention of global financial markets will be focused on the protocol of the last meeting of the Fed. Market players are hoping to get new information about the future course of monetary policy of the US central bank.
In this shortened working week in the United States, the main report for investors will be a report on the volume of orders for durable goods. On Thursday, the markets in the US will be closed in connection with the Thanksgiving Day.
In the UK, traders will focus on the updated economic growth report to get new signals about Brexit’s impact on the economy.
Market players will analyze the latest data on business activity in the euro area in order to assess the economic growth of the region and understand how it will affect the pace with which the ECB will wind up the program of bond redemption.
So, we are waiting for:
- Minutes of the Federal Open Market Committee meeting – Wednesday – 21:00 (Kiev);
- The volume of orders for durable goods in the US – Wednesday – 15:30 (Kiev);
- Adjusted GDP value of Great Britain for the third quarter – Wednesday – 11:30 (Kyiv);
- New indices of business activity in the euro area – Thursday – 11:00 (Kiev).
Today, at 16:00 (Kyiv) – ECB President Mario Draghi will report on the economic state of the eurozone and the monetary policy of the ECB to the Economic and Currency Committee of the European Parliament in Brussels.
Last month, the ECB announced a reduction in the volume of monthly repurchase of bonds from January in half. However, at the same time, the European Central Bank extended the quantitative easing program until the end of September, promised many years of soft monetary policy and left the door open for changes in the other direction due to the weak price pressure.
