On Monday, December 18, the market will focus on data on Japan and the euro area.
- At 01:50 – publication of data on the trade balance of Japan: the Japan’s trade balance (seasonally adjusted), the volume of exports of Japan (y/y) and the Japan’s trade balance.
- At 12:00 – publication of data on inflation in the euro area, basic consumer price index (CPI) in the euro area (y/y).
- At 13:00 – announcement of the index of industrial orders (CBI) in the UK.
- At 15:30 – release of the volume of foreign investment in Canadian securities.
- At 23:00 – release of the index of consumer sentiment in New Zealand by Westpac.
On Tuesday, December 19, a small amount of news will be released. The price index in New Zealand by Global Dairy Trade will be released.
- At 02:30 – publication of the minutes of the meeting on the monetary policy of Australia.
- At 11:00 – release of the index of the business climate of IFO Germany.
- At 12:00 – announcement of the level of wages in the euro area (y/y).
- At 15:30 – publication of the number of issued construction permits in the US.
- At 23:45 – release of the trade balance of New Zealand (y/y).
Wednesday, December 20, will be a small amount of significant statistics on the US and New Zealand.
- At 09:00 – announcement of the producer price index (PPI) of Germany (m/m).
- At 15:30 – announcement of the volume of wholesale sales in Canada (m/m).
- At 17:00 – publication of sales in the secondary housing market in the US.
- At 17:30 – announcement of the reserves of crude oil in the United States.
- At 23:45 – release of the GDP of New Zealand (q/q).
On Thursday, December 21, a small amount of news will be released on Japan, the US and Canada. The decision of the Bank of Japan on the interest rate will be issued beforehand.
- At 08:30 – the Bank of Japan will hold a press conference.
- At 15:30 – announcement of the US GDP (q/q), the index of manufacturing activity by the Federal Reserve Bank of Philadelphia (USA) and the change in the number of non-agricultural workers by ADP.
- Also, at 15:30 – publication of the basic consumer price index (CPI) in Canada (m/m) and a base index of retail sales in Canada (m/m).
On Friday, December 22, not much news and the activity on the market will be reduced due to the early closure of trading floors in the UK.
- At 09:00 – release of the consumer climate index in Germany (Gfk).
- At 10:00 am – publication of the index of the leading economic indicators of Switzerland by KOF.
- At 11:30 – publication of the UK GDP (y/y) and UK GDP (q/q).
- At 15:30 – release of the base orders for durable goods in the US (m/m) and Canada’s GDP (m/m).
- At 17:00 – announcement of the sales of new housing in the US.
- At 20:00 – publication of the number of drilling rigs in the US by Baker Hughes.
