IN AN HOUR: Report on the volume of retail sales in the US!

In an hour, at 15:30 (Kiyv), the US Department of Commerce will publish a report on retail sales in March.
According to the consensus forecast, it is expected that the volume of retail sales in the US for the past month will grow by 0.4% after an increase of 0.1% in February.
It is assumed that the base retail sales index in the US will increase by 0.2% in the same way as last month.
The increase in retail sales indicates economic growth, and a decline in economic. Consumer spending accounts for 70% of US economic growth.
In addition to the report on the volume of retail sales this week in the US will be published data on the number of issued building permits, the amount of construction of new homes, the number of initial applications for unemployment benefits, the volume of industrial production, as well as the results of surveys on industrial activity in Philadelphia and state of New York.
The US central bank will focus on the publication of the “Beige Book” of the US Federal Reserve.
In addition, market players will pay close attention to statements by Fed officials to get new information about US monetary policy.
The main attention will attract the statements of the head of the Federal Reserve Bank of San Francisco, John Williams, who in June will occupy the most important post of the president of the Federal Reserve Bank of New York.
Williams will replace William Dudley, who at the end of last year announced his resignation in mid-2018. The last working day of Dudley will be June 17.
Also, investors will be interested in the speech of the head of Atlanta Rafael Bostic, the president of the FBI Philadelphia Patrick Harker, the president of the Federal Reserve Bank of Chicago, Charles Evans, the head of the Federal Reserve Bank of New York, William Dudley and the Fed’s bailout, Lael Brainard.
