FOCUS OF THE WEEK!
Dear traders,
Next week promises to be saturated with data on inflation, GDP and employment. Also the meeting results of the Central Bank of Canada, the United States and Japan will be published next week.
The start of the week will be very restrained, and the economic calendar will be practically empty. The US trade balance is worth highlighting from the published data. On Tuesday, activity will return to the market thanks to the publication of inflation data in Japan and data on consumer confidence and pending home sales in the United States.
Starting from Wednesday, the economic calendar will be full of significant statistics. This day, data on inflation in Australia, employment in Germany, the US GDP will be published and the meeting results of the Bank of Canada will be published. But the US Federal Reserve meeting results can be called the main event of the day and week.
On Thursday, the economic calendar will be full of data. At the beginning of the day, business activity in China and the meeting results of the Bank of Japan will be published. At the European session, it is worth to highlight inflation data in the eurozone and in a number of key European countries. Also, there will be data on GDP and employment in the eurozone. The data on spending in the US and Canada’s GDP will be published on the US session.
On Friday, the day is full of business activity data (PMI). At the start of the day, producer prices in Australia and business activity in China will be published. At the European session, it is worth to note inflation data in Switzerland. And the US employment data will close day and week, which will provide significant market volatility.
The US – China trade talks will remain the fundamental factors influencing the market. Separately, it is worth to highligh the remaining uncertainty regarding the Brexit delay, which can increase the uncertainty in the eurozone.
Corporate reporting calendar will be saturated this week. The following corporate reports are worth highlighting this week: Alphabet A (GOOGL), Merck & Co (MRK), Apple (AAPL), Facebook (FB). (Anton Hanzenko)
