FOCUS OF THE WEEK!
Dear traders,
The last week of July promises to be saturated with statistics. The beginning of the week is full of data on business activity, which will set the mood in the market for the whole week. On Wednesday, the market will focus on data on employment in New Zealand and inflation in Australia. Also, the market will be preparing for the results of the ECB meeting, the decision on which will be published on Thursday. On Friday investors’ attention will be focused on data on US GDP, which will also force the market to adjust positions on the American dollar in advance.
The corporate reporting calendar remains full due to the corporate reporting period, which will also continue to set the mood in the stock markets.
Current week was closed by a significant increase in the risk of protectionism in the US against the backdrop of Trump’s comments on a strong dollar, which could also have a negative impact on expectations of an increase in the Fed’s rates this year. (Anton Hanzenko)
