The US dollar regains the positions: claims for unemployment benefits

The US dollar regains its position against the basket of currencies, after the publication of data on the number of applications for unemployment benefits. According to the published data, the number of applications was 239 thousand, exceeding the previous value of 229 thousand. The average value of the indicator for 4 weeks decreased to 231.25K, against the previous value at 232.50K.

Based on these reports, the US dollar index rose by more than 160 points and remains positive. The closest resistance to the index is 94,700. In case of overcoming this level, one should expect rise of the index to the level of 94,860.
