The US dollar eased its position against the basket of currencies after the publication of data on employment and wages in the US.

• According to the published data, the change in the number of employed in the non-agricultural sector in April was 164 thousand, which is lower than the forecast at 168 thousand, but exceeds the previous value of 135 thousand.
• The unemployment rate fell to 3.9%, against the previous value of 4.1%.

The main pressure on the US dollar was caused by a slowdown in the growth of the average hourly wage to 0.1%, against the previous growth of 0.2%.

The US dollar index continues to move in the flat range, while maintaining the potential for further growth amid rising employment and a reduction in unemployment.
