Data on the UK services sector

In December, the UK services sector, which is the most important sector of the country’s economy, continued its expansion.

• According to the published data, the index of business activity in the services sector increased to 54.2, exceeding the previous value at the level of 53.8.

Technical analysis: The GBP/USD pair is slowing its recovery in the first half of Thursday trades, pending key employment data in the States. The main support level is considered at 1.3500, in case the pair overcomes  it, the decrease in the price of the instrument to 1.3450, 1.3425 is expected.
