Inflation data in the US. Today!

Today, at 15:30 Kiev time, the US Department of Commerce will publish a report on the size of inflation in June.
Market analysts predict that the June report will show growth in consumer prices in the US by 0.2%, unchanged from May. Core inflation is expected to grow by 0.2% as in the previous month.
According to forecasts, the annual inflation rate will be 2.3%, slightly accelerating compared to the growth of 2.2% in the previous month.
The Fed sees core inflation as a more accurate indicator of long-term inflationary pressures, as it doesn’t take into account food and energy prices.
Increasing inflation can be a catalyst for accelerating the pace of the Fed’s interest rate increase compared to previous forecasts.
A report published at the end of last week showed that more jobs were created in the US economy than experts predicted. However, a steady increase in wages pointed to moderate inflationary pressures, which could cause the Fed to adhere to a gradual increase in the interest rate this year. (Investing.com)
