Analysis of the American trading session

During the American session on Friday, February 9, 2018, the US dollar continued to rise against the major market currencies. The US currency was supported by the growth of the US stock market and the resumption of growth in the profitability of 10-year government bonds. The main stock indices of the States completed trades with growth: Dow + 1.38%, S & P 500 + 1.49%, Nasdaq + 1.44%.

The British pound continued trading under pressure during the US trades against the US dollar against the backdrop of the strong position of the US currency, as well as due to increased uncertainty over the transition period after Brexit, which intensified on the statements of Barnier. Barnier said he is concerned about the disagreements between the EU and Britain, and if they continue, there can be no transitional period. It was also noted that the issue of the border with Northern Ireland, which is one of the main conditions for concluding a trade deal during the transitional period, has still not been resolved.
