Analysis of the American trading session

During the American session on Wednesday, January 3, 2013, the US dollar strengthened its positions against most of the major market currencies. In anticipation of the publication of the FOMC protocols, the US currency was supported by data by the US ISM. See “The US dollar received support. Data by ISM USA.“

As for the protocols themselves, they did not have a significant impact on the foreign exchange market. The protocols did not indicate any changes to the plan for further tightening of monetary policy. During the December meeting of the Fed, officials focused on concerns about inflation risks that could slow the rate of rate increase.
