Analysis of the American trading session
During the American session on Tuesday, December 05, 2017, the US dollar strengthened its positions against most major currencies. The main support for the US currency was provided by the growth of the yield of the US state bonds, as well as increased demand for the US currency on the eve of the publication of key employment reports in the United States. The deterrent of the more significant growth of the US dollar was the weak data on business activity in the non-manufacturing sector of the US. See “The US dollar slowed growth.“
The British pound strengthened its position against the US dollar during the US session, which was a response after the decline in the first half of the trades, as well as a decrease in the cross-rate EUR/GBP.
