Analysis of the American trading session

During the American session on Thursday, November 16, 2017, the US dollar showed a mixed movement against the basket of currencies and almost did not change its positions towards closing of trades against most competitors. The decline in the US currency was kept by the positive dynamics of the US stock market, supporting the national currency.

The British pound has maintained a strong position against the US dollar. Support for the British was provided by more positive statistics on UK retail sales, rather than expected. See “Pound Stase Stable: Retail Sales Data“.
