The dollar strengthens the onslaught. Inflation data on the US.

The US dollar is trying to strengthen its position against the basket of currencies, having received support from inflation data on the US on the eve of the Fed meeting.

• According to published data, the producer price index in November rose by 0.4%, while analysts expected changes of the index at the level of 0.0%.
• On an annualized basis, the growth rate was 3.1%, which is higher than the previous value at 2.8%.
• The basic producer price index rose in November at 0.3%, which exceeded the forecast at 0.1%. On an annual ized basis, the indicator maintained growth at 2.4%.

Based on this statistics, the US dollar index has regained all previously lost positions, but still retains a rather restrained growth, in anticipation of the results of the December meeting of the Fed.
